Spent
the year preparing a photography book about the main characters
of Mario Vargas Llosa´s new novel “El Paraíso en la otra
esquina”. This included travelling to Peru, French Polynesia,
France and England, following the traces of the painter Paul
Gauguin and his grand mother, the feminist social rights
activist Flora Tristán. The book was published in Spain and
Latin America by the Spanish editorial “Alfaguara”.
2003
-Photographic
reportage of immigrants in Castilla y León as part of a Campaign
carried out by the regional government to integrate immigrants
in the region. The photos were exhibited in Valladolid, made
into a video and reproduced in different publications.
- Emergency aid project communications manager in Baghdad
with the NGO Fundación Iberoamérica Europa for 6 months after
the end of the war.
2004-2006
-Published a photography book of the spanish painter/sculptor
Manolo Valdés.
-Covered the Israeli disengagement from Gaza
for El Pais.
-Preparing a book on Chamans in Peru which will be published
shortly.
